A Christmas wreath represents the festive spirit of Christmas and gives a welcoming greeting. It is traditionally made of evergreen branches which are a symbol for eternal life. The term “wreath” comes from Middle English’s “wrethe”, which means a twisted band or ring of leaves in a garland. Because a wreath is formed in a circle, it has no beginning or end and is a sign of eternity.
